Professional Experience

Managing Partner of PKF in Portugal. He has over 35 years experience leading audit and consulting services to a wide range of Portuguese and MNC companies for Public and Private organizations in almost all sectors of economic activity. He started his career with Price Waterhouse in 1982 as Manager, and then at BDO as Manager in 1987.

Joined PKF in 2000 to lead the development and consolidation of Audit, Tax, Consulting, Outsourcing and IT lines of service and to actively promote the expansion to Portuguese language markets: Angola, Mozambique and Cape Verde.

José has a degree in Business Administration from Instituto Superior das Ciências e Trabalho da Empresa (ISCTE). Registered as certified auditor by the National Portuguese Body of Certified Auditors in Portugal, and registered as chartered accountant by the National Portuguese Body of Chartered Accountants in Portugal.

From 1991 up to 2004, he was professor of audit and accounting disciplines in a Portuguese University. Also developed and lectured in the areas Legal, Tax and Accounting in the courses held for students to qualify as a certified auditor.
