Quality, Environment, Food Safety

Competitiveness and innovation pose challenges to organizations that are undergoing international recognition according to specific benchmarks, depending on the sector of activity.

The adoption of management practices based on the definition of processes and procedures allows the structuring of internal activities, ensuring, on the one hand, effective control of operations and decision-making based on real results that are frequently monitored, and, on the other hand, the establishment of a relationship of proximity and transparency with all stakeholders.

With a view to continuous improvement, PKF supports customers in the formalization of internal procedures and guides projects that aim at the necessary fulfillment of the requirements of the different normative references, namely, within the scope of quality management systems (ISO 9001), environment (ISO 14001 ), security (ISO 45001), information security (ISO 27001), food security (ISO 22000, BRC, IFS, FSSC 22000), risk management (ISO 31000), business continuity (ISO 22301), social responsibility (SA 8000), among others.

Consultancy with a view to certification

Verification of conformity by an independent entity is a competitive factor in the relationship with customers and suppliers. PKF has a multidisciplinary and duly qualified team to carry out:

  • Internal audits (first part), based on national and international normative references, such as, for example, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, BRC, IFS.
  • Audits to suppliers (second party), using their own checklists, in accordance with specific customer requirements and defined contractual relationships.

With the transposition of Directive 2014/95 / EU into the national legal framework (Decree-Law nº 89/2017, of 28 July), large companies that are entities of public interest must disclose data related to the evolution, performance, position and impact of the company's activities regarding, at a minimum, environmental, social and worker issues, equality between women and men, non-discrimination, respect for human rights, combating corruption and attempts at bribery.

To provide non-financial data, organizations must use national, European Union or international systems, such as the United Nations Global Compact, ISO 26000, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) or other documents and recognized agreements, specifying the system on which they were based.

PKF provides support services for the reporting of non-financial information (“Sustainability Reports”), with special focus on the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative, ensuring added value for the company.
